Hearts of Gold Redbud

Cercis canadensis ‘Hearts of Gold’

紫荊花的特徵是Cauliflory (幹生花)，花是成簇直接從老枝或主幹鑽出，每朵小花就像是一隻隻小仙女拖鞋一樣掛了滿樹。

花色是典型粉紫色或淡薰衣草色，但心形葉片呈現出非常明亮的金黃色或檸檬綠色。

這個品種是在2002年由美國北卡羅萊納州的 Jon Roethling 發現的，它是歷史上第一個被發現具有金黃色葉片的北美紫荊品種。
